About Me

 Born in 1979 in Malda, India, I pursued my education in Geology, earning a bachelor's degree from Presidency College in Kolkata and completing my post-graduation at IIT Roorkee in Applied Geology. This led me to a fulfilling 20-years career as a Geoscientist in the Oil & Gas industry, with work assignments taking me from Mumbai to New Delhi, and eventually to The Netherlands in 2013. Along this journey, I navigated significant life milestones, including marrying my college sweetheart Sanchita in 2006 and welcoming our children Pouravee in 2010 and Shreyanvee in 2016. My career was marked by constant movement, both geographically and professionally, as I sought new challenges while managing the demands of family life.

In 2021, after almost two decades in the corporate world, I reached a point of severe burnout, where despite all my efforts, the returns felt increasingly inadequate. The pressures of balancing highly demanding yet unfulfilling work culminated in a diagnosis of clinical depression, and I knew I needed to make a drastic change. My self-motivation had dried up, and I struggled to find meaning in the constant grind. Moving to northern Germany in 2021, I took a step back to reassess my priorities and followed my wife’s career for the first time, while focusing on our family's well-being as a house-husband.

The turning point came through an unexpected yet transformative conversation with a life coach, which helped me reconnect with my inner self and gain clarity on my life’s purpose. Inspired by the experience, I decided to become a life coach myself, and in early 2022, I signed up for the world-renowned coach training programme with the Co-Active Training Institute. This new chapter allowed me to embrace change, reflect on the importance of self-care, and share the lessons I’ve learned with others who may be facing similar struggles. After almost 2 years of rigorous ACTP Level 2 training, 100s of hours of coaching - and a lot of experimentation, trial and error, learning through failures - I earned my CoActive Professional Certified Coach (CPCC) certification from the Co-Active Training Institute, and soon after received my accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certfied Coach (ACC) . 

Now after a few years in Germany, we relocated back to the Netherlands, as we call it our "home away from home", continuing my mission to help others find joy and fulfillment through the many challenges life brings.
